Mission Statement
Watermark Books & Café offers book buyers an inspiring inventory, staff with knowledge and curiosity, and a place to gather for coffee or lunch. We are an incubator for passionate readers to learn about the ecosystem of books, and for the creation of a vibrant book culture in the city of Wichita and those we engage with through social media.
About Watermark Books & Café
Since 1977, Watermark Books & Café has been Wichita's Home for Books. As a local business, we value our customers whether online or in the store. Beyond selling books and welcoming you in the café to meet (or make) a friend over coffee or lunch, we connect to the community through donations, in-kind, volunteer, or financial. We sponsor author events featuring bestselling and soon-to-be-bestselling authors. We collaborate with non-profits, other local businesses, schools, churches, libraries, and other organizations that make our community what it is. Since 1996, we have been an anchor for the Lincoln Heights Village Shopping Center at the southwest corner of Douglas and Oliver.
