St. Ivo by Joanna Hershon, review by Robin Templin

They had me at "Over the course of a  weekend". And I was not disappointed. This compressed story contained my favorite brain food... A mystery that hovers over everything, and burrowing deep inside the head of the narrator. I am there. The drama is believable and the tension between wives and husbands is familiar and intimate. The mystery, the story of Sarah's daughter Leda is slowly, ever so slowly unraveled. And the reunion between best friends who have been distant for years is exactly as it should be. I was rooting for every single person on the pages. Every single one. A rarity. And a gift.
