A Short Introduction to Then & Now Book Club:
1. What book has been your group's favorite selection this past year? Why? The two books that were the most popular were The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson and Kiillers of the Flower Moon by David Grann. Both books generated lots of discussion--both in our group and nationally--and both dealt with little-known historical events.
2. How would you describe your book club to a prospective member? These readers aren't daunted by scholarly books, yet they also enjoy lighter fare...and they are early birds who are ready for a lively discussion first thing in the morning.
