Shelly is a high-school English teacher, a roller derby queen (like Jim Croce’s dream woman), and a former Peace Corps volunteer to Kazakhstan (and no, she doesn’t know Borat… sadly). She received her Master’s degree in education from Wichita State University, and every third Tuesday, she leads Watermark’s Longitude Book Club, which specializes in globe-trotting stories with multicultural flair.
