Summer Reading 2016

Watermark Books & Cafe is excited to announce numerous reading clubs for kids of all ages, as well as Camp Watermark during summer 2016. Browse the links below to get a feel for our book clubs and events focused on kids reading. 

ROALD DAHL BOOK CLUB 
The Roald Dahl Book Club meets on every-other Thursday throughout the summer, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Children's Events Coordinator, Melissa Fox, will modeate the book club. Help us celebrate Roald Dahl's centennial, and join us in reading some classical favorites. This book clubs is ideal for kids 7-11 and adults who love Dahl.

CHAOS WALKING BOOK CLUB
The Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness was recently chosen as one of the best series to revisit in summer 2016. Bookseller and Chaos Walking enthusiast Robin Temple will lead the book club, which meets every-other Saturday, starting on June 4 at 1:00 p.m. Because the books are longer, we'll take two sessions to read through and discuss them. This book club is perfect for kids over 12.

CAMP WATERMARK
Camp Watermark is on WEDNESDAYS, and camp goes 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. each session. Perfect for kids 7-11. Sessions are $15 each or $55 for all five sessions. The cost of each camp session covers camp materials, lunch for the camper, and a snack. Please note that the last session (Aug. 4) is a Thursday.

WICHITA LIBRARY SUMMER READING PROGRAM 

The Wichita Public Library is hosting a summer reading program for small children, middle readers, and teens during summer 2016, and Watermark is happy to partner with the library to offer a prize in the form of a discount for this summer's avid readers. For every 10 days that the child reads 20 minutes or more, or for every activity the small children complete, according to the library's guides, we'll offer a one-time 10% off coupon.
